OTP Bank increases donations for the health system. The amount for the fight against the pandemic is directed to the hospitals in Iași, Miercurea Ciuc and Sfântu Gheorghe

OTP Bank Romania increases the donation initially announced and directs the total amount of 600,000 lei to three hospital institutions in the country, in the context generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with the announced social responsibility measures.

The beneficiaries are: Sf. Gheorghe County Emergency Hospital “Dr. Fogolyan Kristof ", Miercurea Ciuc County Emergency Hospital, as well as" Sf. Maria "Children's Emergency Hospital in Iași. The donation will be directed to purchase the equipment and materials vital for fighting the virus.

"It is a wholehearted gesture that comes in line with our long-term commitment with the community. We are aware that the resources of the hospitals are quite limited, we understand the challenges and efforts of the doctors, as well as the fear of becoming a patient and this is precisely why we believe that, by supporting the medical system, we help the most”, said Gyula Fatér, CEO of OTP Bank Romania.

OTP Bank believes that, in these times, the manifestations of goodwill and solidarity for those in the health system must prevail.

"Everyone’s priorities have changed, and we must act in solidarity, quickly and decisively in order for this pandemic to end as soon as possible. The paradox is that this social spacing unites us in fact and I would like to believe that it makes us even stronger”, added Gyula Fatér.
